This Fantastic Oil on Canvas, “Before Plowing the Land,” c. 1890, oil on canvas, by Belgian artist Isidore Verheyden (1846-1905) is in Excellent Condition. This painting in the original gilt frame and signed in the lower right corner by the artist. Verheyden’s father was the painter Jean-François Verheyden, and he trained at the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in Bruxelles, where he was taught by Joseph Quinaux (1822 - 1895).
