This Elegant French Petite Gilt Bronze Coupe is in Excellent Overall Condition, c.1850. Lidded coupe features eagles resting on each handle and a goddess figure on the lid. The gilt bronze coupe is covered in a motif of masks, foliate scrolls, and fleur-de-lis. The inside of the lid is inscribed “1 Janvier 1846, J.A.Y. Mendizabal.” This was likely a presentation piece to a member of the powerful Spanish Mendizabal family. Measuring 7” D x 8” W x 11" H, Serious Inquiries are Welcome!
