These Magnificent German Historical Embroidered Burgundy Velvet Wall Hanging are in Excellent Condition,c1897. One panel translates – With God for Sovereign and Fatherland. The other panel with the Coat-of-Arms translates - Military “in” or “society” Palmbach. The names of four geographic locations are embroidered in each corner: Strasburg, Nuits, Dijon & Belfort. This Elegant French Petite Gilt Bronze Coupe is in Excellent Overall Condition, c.1850. Lidded coupe features eagles resting on each handle and a goddess figure on the lid. The gilt bronze coupe is covered in a motif of masks, foliate scrolls, and fleur-de-lis. The inside of the lid is inscribed “1 Janvier 1846, J.A.Y. Mendizabal.” This was likely a presentation piece to a member of the powerful Spanish Mendizabal family. Measuring 7” D x 8” W x 11" H, Serious Inquiries are Welcome!
