This Commode á Vantaux is in Excellent Condition, Late 19th Century. This commode follows a design by Guillaume Benneman, created for Marie Antoinette. The original commode is now in the Louvre Museum. It was an admired design and spawned many derivative pieces in the 19th century, such as this one. This Signed Sculpture of Herm and a Bacchante is in Excellent Overall Condition, c. 1860-1880. Carved out of Italian White Marble it Features a Scantily Clad Bacchante with Flowing Hair Gazing Up at the Herm. The Herm is Carved with Panpipes by his Side on a Naturalistic-ally Carved Base that Measures 9" in Diameter. It is a signed Piece. You can find the signature on the Base. Signed "Professor Fanfani."
